125TH ANNIVERSARY POSTER
POTOMAC STATE COLLEGE
Overview
I was asked to encapsulate the long history of West Virginia's Potomac State College in just one poster. This work utilizies elements from across campus, including the Mountaineer Statue, the quadrent plaza, and school buildings. This piece was made with a letterpress style in mind. I wanted the poster to look more handmade and created by a human, so I used bitmaps on images, and a typeface that was created specifically to look like a letterpress typeface. Lastly, I hunted and hunted to find the perfect image of a catamount. I wanted it to look both sophisticated and powerful, similar to that of the institutions character. This left me with a finalized design that was rugged and friendly with playful and familiar textures; a poster that truly encapsulates what the college represents, and how they worked as an institution to get there.
WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEER
SHORT FILM FESTIVAL POSTER
Overview
Leading up to the West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival, they were in need of advertisements to send out and put up at the entrances. I utilized the software Touch Designer to created the center image. The theme of the festival that year was AI, and not only did I design the poster, but I also designed the logo. I used elements from the film festival's logo in order to make imagery similar to an eye. The typography was supposed to look highly technological, relating to the theme of Artificial Intelligence.
Domino's Flyer
BEST DEAL EVER
Overview
This flyer was made to promote the return of Domino's "Best Deal Ever." This flyer was created in order to be stuck on to the pizza boxes that were sent out on deliveries since the deal was online only. I made this flyer for my local Domino's franchise for approximately 140 stores. This was a very quick and last minute job, but was cool to see my work used in the real world!
