BIGFOOT'S GUIDE TO BEFRIENDING CRYPTIDS

I wanted this work to express the idea of acceptance through cute cartoon characters. I enjoy pairing heavy messages with light hearted content in order to make it easier for the audience to digest. I believe this allows the viewer to build a deeper connection with the message, allowing the message to find them instead of searching for it themselves.

The content of this work is based off of Appalachia’s cryptid folktales and stories. The story was written and illustrated by me, and the layout was designed with rhythm and pacing in mind. Lastly, specific lettering was created for the names of the characters to familiarize the audience with each one.
